The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes in the Science and Technology of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
The mission of the department is to provide the recommended technical and scientific skills to the students for a successful project and business management and planning in the sectors of the blue growth, including primary production and aquatic ecosystems.
The objectives of the Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture Technology, are relevant with the applied scientific and technological knowledge in fisheries, aquaculture, seafood processing and the environmental management of aquatic ecosystems.
The graduates as Fisheries Technologists, can be provide their services (project, administration, project & business development) within a range of organisations in public bodies, fisheries and aquaculture operations.
A postgraduate Study Program on “Sustainable Fisheries, Aquaculture” has been recently launched for the academic years 2016-17. It will offers the opportunity for an in depth practical and theoretical experience for sustainable production of aquatic organisms.
