The Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I) of Western Greece was established the 6th of June, 2013 as a result of merging the former T.E.I. of Patras established in 1983 and former T.E.I. of Mesolonghi established in 1983, too. The T.E.I. of Western Greece is a State Higher Education Institute autonomous and self-governed by its Academic & Administration Bodies.
The T.E.I. of Western Greece, in the context of its autonomy, has set out specific targets to satisfy its own Role and Mission. The T.E.I. of Western Greece has as a Role to collaborate with other Higher Educational Institutes in Greece, the rest of Europe, and in other countries, too, as well as with its social partners, in order to contribute to regional and national development, along with human resources development. Its strategic target is to provide services such as High Quality Education, Life Long Learning opportunities and take initiatives in R.T.D. and Innovation projects, to meet the requirements and expectations of its internal and external customers.
From Athens airport Eleftherios Venizelos, you may, take the suburban rail to Kiato town. The first service starts at 5.44 am and the last one at 22:44 PM and runs every hour. From Kiato railway station to Patras station, there are 6 trains daily (7:25 pm, 9:30 pm, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, 19:30). The first one and the last one are Express.
